Mary and Martha and the Power of Contemplation and Action in the Life of Faith - Talk by Professor Anthony Lilles (Zoom Only)
This presentation will consider how “sitting at the feet of Christ” and “serving Christ” coincide in “the one thing necessary.” The witness of Martha and Mary helps us ponder the life of service and prayer that Christ invites us to share with Him. Our embodied contemplation and spiritual works of service flow from and lead to a deeper union with the Risen Lord.
