Please join us for our Club’s next Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 4 June from 1-2 PM! During this meeting, we hope to get a chance to meet each other again, share with you again the vision of the UNSRC Catholic Club, a summary of our Club’s activities since our last AGM over a year ago, and election of Office Bearers as well as a special presentation on Prayer: An Invitation to Friendship by the Friars of the Order of Discalced Carmelites, UK.
Do you experience prayer as keeping company with a friend? The teachings of Carmelite saints can help you engage your heart in the experience of friendship with God. God is the trusted friend. We all seek a friendship we can be confident in. Perhaps you never thought of it as a path towards God. The talk will draw on the wisdom of Carmelite saints to help us explore prayer as friendship with God.

Speaker Bio
Fr. Alexander Ezechukwu, OCD is a Carmelite priest and serves as the prior of the Carmelite community at Boars Hill, Oxford and is also the Director of the Centre for Applied Carmelite Spirituality, Oxford. He is a trained spiritual director and holds a License in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute, Rome.
Fr. Liam Finnerty, OCD is a Carmelite priest and holds degrees in Theology and Social Work from Milltown Institute, Dublin and Glasgow University, respectively. Fr Liam has many years of experience in the ministry of spiritual direction, retreat and mentoring.
